Well our bathroom is finally complete! Even though it took us only a week to install the new floors, toilet and vanity, it took an additional four months to paint…. Don’t ask me how that happened, even I, Queen of Procrastination, am fuzzy on the details!
Remember a few months ago when I was going to rip out my tile floors and replace them? And then when I decided to make it a whole weekend out of it by replacing the toilet and then the vanity? Ahh those were simpler times.
After a loooooong week of showering in our basement bathroom (with no heat… in March), we were finally able to reclaim our bathroom, new floors and all! Keep on reading for my how to, along with some after pics!
We’ve just about finished our mini-renovation of our bathroom and let me tell you, it already looks so much better! I can’t wait to show you what we did! Our bathroom has never been a dream bathroom, but it was functional and nothing was wrong with it… until a few months ago.
For those of you following along on Instagram (@madaboutdecorblog) you might recall that J and I were in the process of siding our house in early October. I thought I would share some pictures of the before, during and after!
Overall, the siding was in decent condition. It was cracked in a few spots (it probably didn’t help that J hacked the bottom of a few pieces with a weed wacker) and slightly faded from the sun. The color reminded me of a powder blue suit from the 70s and it didn’t help that the brick in the front was also painted the same gross powder blue color as well, just really rounding out the gorgeous curb appeal. NOT.
